First, USB and serial are both standard, so it connects to a modern PC and to older POS and weighing equipment that still uses a serial port, which is common in Indian retail. Second, both paper sensors are removable and it handles marked, black-marked, notched and folding paper, so awkward media that jams other printers usually runs here.

Being straight about limits: this is a desktop printer with a single-button interface and no display, so there is no on-screen menu to diagnose a problem, and heavy continuous use in a dusty plant is better served by an industrial machine. Connect the power adapter and the USB or serial cable, then install the TVS printer driver.
Open the cover, load the label roll on the 25 mm or 38 mm core holder and set the guides to your paper width.
For thermal transfer, fit a ribbon up to 100 mm wide on the 25.4 mm core; for direct thermal, use thermal label stock with no ribbon.
Close the cover and press the feed button to calibrate the sensor to your gap, black mark or notch.
