Product Overview

The TVS Electronics LP 46 Lite is the entry point into the LP 46 desktop range: a straightforward USB 2.0 label printer that does both thermal transfer and direct thermal at 203 dpi and up to 152.4 mm per second (6 ips). It prints up to 108 mm wide and up to 2,794 mm long in a single label, takes label rolls up to 127 mm in diameter, and accepts 300 m ribbons on a 1-inch core. Despite the entry-level position it supports a serious barcode list, including GS1 DataBar, GS1 DataMatrix, PDF417, QR Code, Aztec and MaxiCode alongside the usual Code 128 and EAN family.

For an Indian business printing a few hundred labels a day, this is often the right first barcode printer: a shop tagging stock, a small unit labelling cartons for despatch, an office printing asset and file labels, or an online seller barcoding orders. The printer language is TSPL-EZ with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II compatibility, so labels designed for an existing Zebra-style setup usually print without redesign.

Why Choose This Product?

This is the model to buy when you want proper thermal transfer barcode printing at the lowest sensible cost and only one PC needs to drive it. The specification that matters most is often overlooked: TSPL-EZ compatibility with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II means label templates written for a Zebra-style printer generally run unchanged, so you are not paying someone to rebuild your label formats.

Know what you are giving up. Memory is 8 MB flash and 16 MB SDRAM, fine for normal label work but tight if you store many large graphics or fonts in the printer. Connectivity is USB 2.0 only, so for network printing you want the LP 46 Plus or LP 46 Dlite Plus. And like any desktop printer, it is built for steady daily use rather than round-the-clock industrial duty.

Applications

Small Business and Retail Stock Tagging

Print barcode and price labels for incoming stock on a single billing PC. Thermal transfer output on synthetic label stock stays legible through months of handling, unlike direct thermal alone.

Manufacturing and Warehouse Labelling

Label cartons, bins and finished goods with Code 128, GS1 DataBar or GS1 DataMatrix codes. The adjustable black mark sensor handles preprinted stock that trips simpler printers.

Shipping and Courier Labels

Produce despatch and consignment labels up to 108 mm wide. The 2,794 mm maximum label length also covers long continuous tags printed as one job.

Office Asset and File Labelling

Print asset tags, file and shelf labels for record keeping. The compact 2.4 kg body sits on a desk and USB 2.0 makes setup a five-minute job.

What's Included in the Box

Standard pack contains the printer, power adapter, USB cable and documentation. Label rolls and ribbons are ordered separately. Confirm the exact pack and ribbon core size with us on WhatsApp before ordering.

How to Use

  1. Connect the power adapter and the USB cable to your PC, then install the TVS printer driver.
  2. Open the cover, load the label roll (up to 127 mm diameter) and set the media guides to your label width.
  3. For thermal transfer, fit a 300 m ribbon on the 1-inch core with the ink coating facing outwards; for direct thermal, use thermal stock with no ribbon.
  4. Close the cover and run calibration so the gap or black mark sensor learns your media.
  5. Print a test label, scan it to confirm the barcode reads, then run the batch.

GST invoice with every order. 7-day money-back on manufacturing defects. Fast delivery across India.
