Product Overview
The TVS Electronics LP 46 Neo is a compact 4-inch desktop label and barcode printer that uses thermal line printing in both direct thermal and thermal transfer modes. It prints at 203 dpi at up to 150 mm per second (6 ips) with a maximum print width of 108 mm, runs on a 32-bit RISC processor, and offers USB and serial connectivity together as standard rather than as an extra-cost option. It accepts paper from 19 mm to 120 mm wide, which is a wider range than many desktop printers and useful if you print both small jewellery-style tags and full 4-inch carton labels on one machine.
TVS positions the Neo for retail, logistics, hospitality and factory use, and that matches what it is good at: a retail chain printing price and shelf labels, a logistics desk producing despatch labels, a hotel labelling stores and prepared items, or a small factory marking cartons. Both removable paper sensors, transmissive and reflective, mean it follows gap labels, black-mark stock, notched paper and folded media without a workaround.

Why Choose This Product?
Two things separate the Neo from cheaper desktop printers. First, USB and serial are both standard, so it connects to a modern PC and to older POS and weighing equipment that still uses a serial port, which is common in Indian retail. Second, both paper sensors are removable and it handles marked, black-marked, notched and folding paper, so awkward media that jams other printers usually runs here.
Being straight about limits: this is a desktop printer with a single-button interface and no display, so there is no on-screen menu to diagnose a problem, and heavy continuous use in a dusty plant is better served by an industrial machine. If you need Ethernet or Wi-Fi, look at the LP 46 Plus or LP 46 Dlite Plus instead. Message us with your setup and we will match the right one.
Applications
Retail Price and Shelf Labelling
Print price tags, shelf-edge labels and barcode stickers at the counter. The 19 mm to 120 mm paper range covers small tags through to full-width labels, so one printer handles the whole store.
Logistics and Despatch Labelling
Produce carton and consignment labels for outbound shipments. The 300 m ribbon and thermal transfer mode give labels that stay scannable through transit and storage.
Hospitality and Kitchen Stores
Label prepared items and stock with date and batch information. Black-mark and notched paper support means preprinted or specialised stock feeds correctly without fiddling.
Factory Carton and Bin Marking
Mark cartons, bins and work-in-progress with Code 128 or QR codes. The serial port connects to older shop-floor equipment that has no USB.
