How It Works
The module uses an SW-420 vibration switch - a spring-loaded conductive element sealed inside a metal cylinder. In its resting state, the switch remains closed (conducting). When vibration, shock, or tilt occurs, the internal spring moves and momentarily breaks the circuit, generating a signal pulse. This raw signal is fed into the LM393 comparator, which compares it against a reference voltage set by the onboard potentiometer. When vibration intensity exceeds the set threshold, the digital output pin goes LOW, and the signal LED illuminates. The analog output pin simultaneously provides a variable voltage proportional to vibration intensity, enabling more nuanced measurement when connected to an ADC-equipped microcontroller.
