How It Works
The MG995 360 degrees servo is controlled using PWM signals from your microcontroller. Unlike a standard servo where pulse width sets an angle, in continuous rotation mode the pulse width controls speed and direction:
- ~1500us pulse: Motor stops (neutral position)
- 1500us - 2500us: Rotates clockwise - increasing pulse width increases speed
- 500us - 1500us: Rotates counter-clockwise - decreasing pulse width increases speed
