Product Overview
The Honeywell Voyager 1250g is a single-line laser scanner for stores that scan 1D barcodes all day and want more reach than a basic reader gives. On a standard 13 mil retail barcode it reads from contact out to 446 mm, so a cashier can scan a heavy carton sitting at the bottom of a trolley without lifting it, and staff can read a code on a shelf that is out of arm's reach. It also handles poorly printed and damaged codes, which is what most Indian retail labels look like after a few weeks on the shelf.
It is plug-and-play with automatic interface detection: plug the cable into the host and the 1250g configures itself, so you are not scanning a page of setup barcodes before billing your first customer. That suits supermarkets, cash-and-carry counters, pharmacy chains and hardware shops where the same person bills, checks stock and picks orders. It carries a 5 year factory warranty, which is unusual at this level and matters when a scanner runs twelve hours a day.

Why Choose This Product?
The reason to pay more than an entry-level laser is reach and warranty. 446 mm on a 13 mil code changes how a counter works β cashiers stop lifting cartons and water crates onto the counter, and shelf audits get faster because staff scan from where they stand. Five years of factory warranty plus IP41 sealing usually works out cheaper over that period than buying a low-cost scanner twice.
The honest limit is the same as any laser: this is 1D only. It will not read QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417, or a barcode displayed on a customer's phone screen. If you plan to accept digital coupons or scan e-way bill QR codes, buy a 2D imager such as the Voyager XP 1470g or the HH490. If your entire catalogue is printed 1D barcodes, the 1250g is the better-built version of what you already use.
Applications
Supermarket and cash-and-carry checkout
Scan rice bags, oil tins and water crates in the bottom of the trolley without lifting them, straight into your GST billing software.
Wholesale and distribution counters
Read carton labels on pallets and stacked boxes from a distance during dispatch, and confirm picks against the invoice before loading.
Pharmacy chains and hospital stores
Handle GS1 DataBar codes on medicine packs and read faded strip labels that a cheaper reader will refuse.
Shelf audits and inventory counts
Scan high and low shelves from where the staff member is standing, cutting a full-store stock count down by hours.
What's Included in the Box
Standard pack: scanner plus USB cable. Contents vary by part number and kit β message us on WhatsApp with the part number you need and we will confirm before you order.
How to Use
- Push the interface cable into the socket at the base of the handle until it locks, then connect it to your PC or POS terminal.
- Power up. Automatic interface detection configures the scanner for the connected host on its own.
- Click into the barcode or item field in your billing software so the cursor is active there.
- Aim and press the trigger. For long-range reads on 13 mil codes, stand back β it works right out to 446 mm.
- For hands-free use, assemble the stand and drop the scanner in. In-stand detection switches it to presentation mode automatically.
GST invoice with every order. 7-day money-back on manufacturing defects. Fast delivery across India.
