The honest limit is the same as any laser: this is 1D only. It will not read QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417, or a barcode displayed on a customer's phone screen. If you plan to accept digital coupons or scan e-way bill QR codes, buy a 2D imager such as the Voyager XP 1470g or the HH490. Push the interface cable into the socket at the base of the handle until it locks, then connect it to your PC or POS terminal.
Power up. Automatic interface detection configures the scanner for the connected host on its own.
Click into the barcode or item field in your billing software so the cursor is active there.
Aim and press the trigger. For long-range reads on 13 mil codes, stand back — it works right out to 446 mm.
