The DHT11 module uses a resistive-type polymer humidity sensor and an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor to measure relative humidity and ambient temperature respectively. When your microcontroller sends a start signal on the DATA pin, the DHT11 responds with a 40-bit data frame containing 8-bit integer humidity, 8-bit decimal humidity, 8-bit integer temperature, 8-bit decimal temperature, and an 8-bit checksum for error verification.
