How It Works
The KW10-Z1P is a mechanically actuated snap-action switch. When an external force (a moving carriage, door, lever, or object) presses the small pin plunger, an internal spring mechanism snaps the contact from its resting position to the actuated position almost instantaneously. This rapid transition minimizes electrical arcing and contact wear. When the force is removed, the spring returns the contact to its default state with an equally fast snap-back action.
In the default (unactuated) state, COM is connected to NC and disconnected from NO. When actuated (pressed), COM switches to NO and disconnects from NC. This SPDT behavior lets you wire the switch for either "make on press" or "break on press" logic depending on your application needs.
