The Seeed Studio XIAO MG24 builds on Silicon Labs' EFR32MG24 SoC — a 78MHz ARM Cortex-M33 with DSP instructions — to bring Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth LE 5.3 connectivity into the compact XIAO form factor. Native Matter support with Arduino Core makes it a practical starting point for smart-home devices that need to speak the current interoperability standard rather than a proprietary app.
Onboard antenna gives up to 50m BLE range in open conditions, with a UFL connector available for external antennas when range needs to stretch further. Sleep-mode draw under 1.95μA, an onboard battery charging circuit, and 4MB flash round out a board built for genuinely battery-powered wireless sensors. It also plugs into Seeed's Grove ecosystem and accessories like CAN-Bus, LED matrix, and vision sensor add-ons.
