The OV5647 5MP 1080P IR-Cut Camera for Raspberry Pi 3/4 withAutomatic Day Night Mode Switchingis a custom designed add-on for Raspberry Pi. It attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of one of the small sockets on the board upper surface. This uses the dedicated Raspberry Pi's onboard CSI interface, designed especially for interfacing to cameras.
The camera supports night vision. It is compatible with all revisions of the Pi. Powered with a 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor,its best resolution is 1080p.

While normal cameras will take reddish pictures during the daylight because of lacking IR filter in the CCD, this RPi IR cut camera can take the much better quality picture at a resolution of up to 1080p during both day and night.
The Externally attachableIR LED that helps the night vision function. The Mounting HolesProvides 3.3V power output Supports connecting infrared LED and/or fill flash LED.It has onboard photoresistor, the ambient light detector to provide automaticday andnight mode Switching. An adjustable resistor is provided on it to control the ambient light threshold of toggling the infrared LED when ambient light is lower than the threshold value, the infrared LED is on, vice versa. Onboard screw holes are used for both attachment and power supply.
It connects to Raspberry Pi by way of a short ribbon cable. The sensor itself has a native resolution of 5 megapixels and has a fixed focus lens. In terms of still images, thecamera is capable of 2592 x 1944 pixel static images,and also supports 1080p 30, 720p 60 and 640x480p 60/90 video.
