What is the Raspberry Pi Metal Aluminium Case (Black, Double Fans)?
Straight from the name: this is a metal aluminium enclosure built specifically for the Raspberry Pi 4B, finished in black, and fitted with double fans for active airflow. If you've run a Pi 4B under any real workload, you know it can get warm — and an aluminium build paired with two fans is exactly the kind of setup enthusiasts reach for when they want their board looking sharp on the desk while staying properly ventilated. Full build details are on the listing here: Raspberry Pi Metal Aluminium Case with Double Fans for Raspberry Pi 4B (Black) product page.
Raspberry Pi Metal Aluminium Case with Double Fans for Raspberry Pi 4B (Black) projects — what you can build
A case like this is a natural pick for any Raspberry Pi 4B build where you want it running for long stretches, looking good doing it. Think:
- Always-on home server or NAS-style projects running around the clock.
- Retro gaming rigs where sustained CPU load is common during long play sessions.
- Media centre builds tucked into your living room setup, on display rather than hidden away.
- Home automation hubs that need to stay powered on continuously.
- Overclocking experiments or any workload-heavy project where you're keeping a close eye on temperatures.
These are the kinds of builds a metal, dual-fan case is typically chosen for — actual thermal results will still depend on your ambient environment and how your Pi 4B is configured.
Raspberry Pi 4B cooling options compared
| Product | Price | Notes |

Choosing the right one for your project
If you're running your Pi 4B hard — long uptimes, heavier workloads, or you just like the look of a metal enclosure with active cooling — this double-fan aluminium case is built for exactly that. If you're after something simpler and cheaper for lighter, everyday use, the passive heat sink sets above are a lower-cost way to add some extra cooling without a full case. Either way, matching your cooling choice to how hard you actually push your board is the smart move before you spend.
