Looking for a purpose-built enclosure that pairs a Raspberry Pi with the official 7 inch touchscreen? The Adafruit 4951 Smarti Pi Touch Pro for Raspberry Pi and Official 7 inch Display is available at Tech Depot India for Rs 8,856 — you can order it directly here: Adafruit 4951 Smarti Pi Touch Pro for Raspberry Pi and Official 7 inch Display.
What is the Smarti Pi Touch Pro?
The name lays it out plainly: this is Adafruit's item 4951, a Smarti Pi Touch Pro enclosure built to combine a Raspberry Pi board with the official 7 inch Raspberry Pi display into one self-contained unit. Instead of leaving the board and screen loose with cables running everywhere, this housing holds both together as a single, tidy package.
Because it's designed specifically around the official 7 inch display, it's meant for builds where you already have, or plan to use, that exact screen alongside a Pi. For the precise fit, mounting details and materials, check the Smarti Pi Touch Pro product page before ordering.
Adafruit 4951 Smarti Pi Touch Pro for Raspberry Pi and Official 7 inch Display projects — what you can build
- A wall-mounted or desk control panel with a touchscreen interface
- A home automation dashboard built around the Pi and its 7 inch display
- A kiosk-style information display for a workshop, lab or office
- A dedicated media player or camera monitor enclosure
- A neat, presentable housing for a Pi prototype you want to demo or show off
Choosing the right one for your project
Since this enclosure is matched specifically to the official 7 inch Raspberry Pi display, the main thing to confirm before buying is that you're using, or plan to use, that exact screen — this isn't a generic case sized for any display. If your build already centres on the official 7 inch touchscreen and you want a cleaner, more finished result than bare boards and loose wiring, this is a straightforward, practical option. If you're unsure which Pi models or display revisions it supports, the product page and Adafruit's own documentation are the right places to confirm fit before you commit.
