If you've got a 7-inch display sitting bare on your desk with wires everywhere, you'll like this one — the 7in Raspberry Pi Display Enclosure is available on Tech Depot India for Rs 5,936, and it's made to give your 7-inch Pi display a proper, finished housing.
What is the 7in Raspberry Pi Display Enclosure?
Simply put, this is an enclosure sized for a 7-inch Raspberry Pi display, built to house your screen (and typically the Pi itself) so you're not left with an exposed board and a loose panel on your desk. If you've already got your Pi and a 7-inch display working, but haven't found a housing that looks and feels finished, this enclosure is meant to be that missing piece. You'll find the full listing on the product page, so take a look before you decide.
7in Raspberry Pi Display Enclosure projects — what you can build
Once your display has a proper home, here's where people tend to take it next:
- A tidy desktop dashboard for weather, calendars, or smart home controls
- A kiosk-style info screen for a workshop, reception desk, or shared space
- A car or dash-mounted display for navigation or media, housed safely
- A retro-style handheld or countertop gaming console build
- A home automation control panel mounted on a wall
- A presentable finishing touch for a Pi project you're ready to show off or gift
How to get started
Once your enclosure arrives, you'll generally want to have your 7-inch display and Raspberry Pi ready to slot in together, along with any screws or standoffs the enclosure includes. Take your time lining up the ports and connectors before closing everything up, so you're not fighting cable clearance after the fact. If you're mounting it somewhere fixed, like a wall or a dash, it's worth doing a dry test run of your display and Pi outside the enclosure first, just to confirm your software and wiring are all working the way you expect before you seal things in.
